The Zhejiang Jonway Automobile Co company manufactures its products under the brand name of Jonway. This manufacturing company has its base in China and it produces over 10,000 units per year (of two SUV models). These models are A380 and the A380 with 3 and 5-door configurations respectively. Auto Zhejiang Jonway happens to be the subordinate of the Jonway Group. This group has been a manufacturing leader of motorcycles, ATVs and related products such as High-pressure washers, and Pneumatic cylinders for more than 20 years. The company sold more than 120,000 motorcycles and other vehicles internationally in 2009 in the European Union and the United States. The company currently has an annual capacity of manufacturing around 400,000 vehicles.

The company has also ventured into the production of electric motorcycles and related vehicles. Motor parts, air compressors, light building materials as well plastic components are some of the things produced by the Jonway group and its subsidiaries. The company is engaged in production whilst managing a real estate holdings portfolio. Several manufacturing subsidiaries are owned by the Jonway group throughout China. Jonway has a total manufacturing space of around 57.3 hectares and it currently employs work force of more than 1,000 personnel.

A strategic agreement signed between Zap and Jonway which facilitated the installation of Jonway as the main manufacturing partner of Zap for different electric vehicles. One of the latest models included under the strategic commercial agreement is Alias. There are a lot of positive implications of this partnership as Jonway and Zap have agreed to increase production on all their manufacturing units. The electric market in China as well worldwide market is the main target of Zap. This makes ‘Alias’ as the first electric car to be manufactured in the mainland China.

The company has been highly successful in both South and North America and also in the European countries. The company has recently ventured into South Africa. Jonway has changed its outlook and is also looking to tap into the middle class segment. Jonway’s products are now available at affordable prices meaning that even the common man can take a pie of its class products.

Jonway Motorcycles aims at various niche and segments. However, the primary targets of the company are teenagers. The company boasts of bikes that have stylish looks along with a very good fuel economy, making for an ideal choice for teenagers.

Most products manufactured by the company have excellent fuel economy they've become a rage for the urban youth. The sense of freedom that one feels while owning a bike backed by stupendous quality makes this a winning combination for one and all.
