The Kwan Yang Motor Co. (popularly known as Kymco), was founded in the year 1963 in Taiwan in the Kaohsiung city. The renowned company happens to be the largest manufacturer of two wheelers and automobiles in the country. The company has expanded its manufacturing unit and currently owns five manufacturing plants in Asia including a parent facility. It currently exports its products to more than eighty-five countries across the globe. The company manufactures a total of 480,000 vehicles annually and has a work force of around 3000 employees.

The company follows a highly detailed manufacturing process. From the initial clay modeling to the final performance test it’s a long seven step process that is very tedious and precision oriented. All the process from the initial molding and casting to the final painting and assembling are fully automated. 
Kymco established its own Research and Development (R&D) cell in 1978. And since then, the company has invested a lot in serving customers and offering them more than they expect. Each vehicle is individually tested before it hits the showroom. The company currently manufactures scooters, motor bikes, all terrain vehicles, utility vehicles, generators and even general purpose engines. Every year, the company reveals new models at various motor shows around the globe. The company has nineteen bikes ranging from a modest 50cc to a sporty 250cc. In the scooter segment, the company happens to be the market leader. It has a total of 38 models ranging from the basic 50cc for the urban commuter to stylish and really fast 500cc scooters for those with deep end pockets. It also manufactures utility scooters that can meet the needs of the differently-able people and also for daily grocery shopping. And there is more to the list, Kymco has even got a power driven wheel chair for those who desire it.
When it comes to export, the company has made its presence felt across various units. The company offers an exclusive two year warranty for almost its entire range in all the countries.
