Peugeot Motor Vehicles

Peugeot has been involved in the manufacture of cars and motor vehicles. The company is involved in the design of motor vehicle and vehicle engines and has been in business for a good period of time now. The Peugeot Company has been in business since the manufacture of the type 3 quadricycle in the 1891. In 1894, the company invented the type 7 of the same product which was the first range of the Peugeot range. Type 15 was a four seat which marked the new generation of Peugeot models. Since then, the Peugeot Company has concentrated in the improvement of its design in the motorcycle and motor vehicle industry.

1901 model of the motorcycle had a vertical single cylinder, while the one manufactured in the 1908 had a six-cylinder engine and was named as type 105. In 1919, the company manufactured an entirely new vehicle with four tires, and named it as Type 163. The modern shape of the car was conceived in the design in the 1940 in the history of the company. Named as the 203, the intention was to ensure that Peugeot was renaissance after the war.

Innovation made the company improve an indestructible engine. The product was launched after introduction in the 1947 and took market by success. It toped on the market after introduction. The company continued to build more vehicles in the motor industry improving on the shape and engine power.

Today, the company is known for its brands such as the Peugeot 205 manufactured in the 1983. The company has been developing ranges of designs including the 05 series which ended in the 1983 with the Peugeot 605. This product was from the German manufacturers.

The company began using diesel engines in the manufacture of car engines in the 1991. The company improved the limited power situation with the 145 hp four cylinder petrol turbo. In addition, the new V6 which performed well in the market was used to improve the situation. The latter however had a poor reputation for fuel consumption power. The fuel consumption has also been an issue as far as the development of the engines power is concerned.

The first MPV was launched with the Peugeot 806 in the 80’s. The product was launched in collaboration with Fiat and the Peugeot Company. The Peugeot 806 used a sliding side door. Matra gave competition to the 806 model. The latest models such as the 406 model which was as a result of collaboration between the company and the Pininfarina styling teams have also been produced by the company.
