The Razor scooter is well known for the kick scooter segment. It is a compact kick scooter which was first constructed by JDBUG. Razor scooters are manufactured under the banner of Razor USA. It was founded in June, 2000. Razor USA, LLC is a Cerritos, Calif, USA based private company. Apart from the famous Razor kick scooters, Razor also produces other scooters like E100, E200 and E300. All these scooters are electric scooters. The cutting edge range of Razor scooter includes the Dirt Rocket, Pocket Rocket, Pocket Mod and Ground Force. Moreover, Razor also produces a whole series of electric powered ride-on toys for kids and a junior range of scooters.
These scooters come with a fundamental structure of an aluminum frame and 98 mm polyurethane wheels. It has a pilot attached to its rear wheel, which is forced down by the foot and act as a spoon brake. On releasing the latch, the head-tube and the handle bar fold. Razor has tones of products categorized under different segments. For example, under the scooters class it has as many as 13 models. These scooters are aimed for the children above 5 years of age. The cheapest and the most basic models of this segment are A & AW scooters. These are priced fairly low, at $39.99 to be precise. These scooters weigh around 6lbs and have a maximum capacity of carrying 143 lbs. The more advanced A3 is priced at $59.99 and comes with adjustable handle bars. They weigh net 8 lbs. For 8 year olds, Razor has got the A5 Lux up its sleeves. It is constructed using super strong aluminum T tube and can carry a person weighing up to 220 lbs. For action lovers, there is the Razor Pro scooter which comes with extra light aircraft grade aluminum and a double stacked head clamp. It’s a complete package used primarily for stunts and various acrobatics. There are many other models like Cruiser, Ultra Pro, Graffiti scooter etc which are also popular amongst the kids.
Apart from these basic scooters, Razor scooter also manufactures some electric scooters. These models range between $149.99 and $279.99. There are 5 models in this segment; a few of them have one or two variants. For smaller kids, there is E100 series which has 4 variants, with a maximum speed limit of 10 mph and can be used for 40 minutes and for grown-ups it has the E300 series with 2 variants with a maximum speed of 15 mph to go with a twist-grip acceleration control.
