Suntrike Scooters

Suntrike Scooters was established by a group of businessmen sharing the common goal of creating a vehicle that is economic, different from any other vehicle produced, and easy to handle. They wanted to create a vehicle that has characteristics of a car but comes in a budget of a scooter. After working on this project with several automobile designers and technicians, Suntrike was produced.

Suntrike is basically a scooter with a 50cc or 150cc engine but looks entirely different. It was designed for a seating capacity of two persons. But unlike any other scooter, the seats are placed side by side like in a car. Instead of 2 wheels, it is supported on 3 wheels including a rear wheel. Suntrike scooter is not intended for use on highways or for long commuting but is ideal for commuting within a town. A 150cc Suntrike can ride two passengers at a top speed of over 50 miles per hour. The scooter is very light weight and possesses high mobility. It does not have a roof and is very efficient with respect to fuel consumption. These features of Sunstroke make it different from a car while maintaining some shades of the same.

The Suntrike ST50 has a Taiwan made 2 stroke 50cc air cooled engine which delivers a maximum power of 4.4 hp. It comes with a 12V battery for electric start and continuous variable transmission system. It has independent front and rear suspension. The front and rear wheels have hydraulic shockers with the front wheels having automatic height regulation. It has a 13 inch front alloy wheels and a 12 inch steel rear wheel with disc brakes for the front tires and drum brakes for the rear tire. It even has a port for charging a cell phone on the move. The body of Suntrike ST50 is made out of fiberglass and is painted using ultra violet resistant paint. It also has a can holder, luggage space under front seats and rear view mirrors on both sides. The maximum speed of ST50 is 35 mph.

Another model from the stable of this company is the Suntrike ST150, which comes with a 4 stroke 150cc Chinese engine which is air cooled and delivers 9.3 HP. It comes with a CDI ignition system with electric and kick start. The transmission is continuous variable with independent suspension for both front and rear tires. It can carry a maximum weight of 500 lbs and comes bundled with a 1 year warranty.
