Taiwan Golden Bee, also known as TGB is a Taiwan based manufacturer of scooters, all terrain vehicles and engines. TGB was established in 1978 and started as Taiwan’s main division of Vespa, an Italian based scooter manufacturer in 1965. It also made parts for Vespa and Minarelli Motorcycles which are still in production. In US, TGB scooters are imported and distributed by Cobra Powersports. The company has its headquarters in Taiwan, is exported to more than 50 countries and has a fan following all over the world.
TGB manufactures scooters that are at the lower power end of the scooter market. Xmotion is the most popular scooter manufactured by TGB. It comes in two variants, 125cc and 250cc. They have plenty of scooter models that are in the 50-125cc range. TGB makes various scooters for commercial purposes. TGB Express is one of the many delivery scooters that TGB manufactures. TGB scooters are not only hi-tech but also luxurious in their looks. TGB scooters perform extremely well and are very strongly built. TGB 101R holds the Guinness world record for longest distance ridden on a 50cc scooter. Some of the other models manufactured by TGB in this category are Bullet and Cappuccino. TGB is a major manufacturer of All Terrain Vehicles (ATVs). Avenger, Blade and Target are the brand names of ATVs manufactured by TGB. All the ATVs made by TGB are four wheel models. Blade 250 is the most popular and the latest model in the Blade series. ATVs made by TGV have lighter weight and high power, mostly in the range of 250cc to 500cc. TGB also makes various parts of scooters such as engines and transmissions. It also makes die casting machinery and pieces made of aluminium. Engines manufactured by TGB are in the range of 50cc to 500cc. 400cc and 500cc engines made by TGB are 4-stroke and single cylinder and are liquid cooled. It manufactures engines especially for lower power segment of scooters as well. TGB manufactures transmissions (CVT) for many other brands such as Peugeot, Piaggio and Polaris. The Taiwan based manufacturer of scooters, Taiwan Golden Bee or TGB was established in 1978 by Chi-Fu Chang as the Taiwan division of Minarelli Motorbikes and Vespa Scooters which are still in production in some parts of the world. The company currently has four hundred and forty people working for it and an estimated 52,883 square meters of manufacturing g space in the form of two plants. One at Youn-An and the other at Ping-Tung. The company currently exports to fifty nations globally.

TGB currently has 7 scooters in various configurations. Engines in them range from 50cc to 250 cc. The Quad bikes are the most extensive range of TGB. There are a bikes ranging from a fast 250cc to the hard core 525cc super charged machines armed with electric starters and dual disc brakes that are made to conquer even the wildest of all terrains in the worst weather conditions possible.
The company also manufactures bike components and engines on an independent basis. Companies like Piaggio, Rotax, Minarelli, Peugeot, Sym and other leading manufacturer’s source components from TGB for many of their models. Engines come in the range of 50cc to 150cc for scooters. There are also two engines for bikes; one of 400cc and another of a massive 500cc for truly unleashing the speed demons within you!
