Electric scooters have smaller, electric engines. That doesn’t necessarily mean they have less power than gas scooters, but it does mean that they might cost more or less, and that you can actually store your electric scooter in your home, plugged in to the wall to charge the engine. Electric scooters are convenient for people who have to regularly travel short to medium distances, or for people who can’t afford a car or regularly fueling said car. That means electric scooters are great for high school and college students, or young working adults who are saving their money for other items. If you are choosing an electric scooter due to budget considerations, then searching out a used electric scooter is probably the best option for you. Used electric scooters are cheaper than your average electric scooter and since scooters are durable, you can probably find a used one that doesn’t have a huge amount of wear and tear.  

You can find used electric scooters through a variety of different outlets, including dealerships, classified ads, Internet message boards and forums, and local newspapers. You should test drive your scooter before you purchase it, and also be sure to get a history of its use, and approximately how old it is. If you find a good used electric scooter that you like, it’s definitely worth the investment. They’re great for people of all ages, and are definitely friendly to the environment and a way to “think green.” They’re also easy to keep safe in your home.
